I’m Sarah, a brand and portrait photographer living in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in Calgary, Alberta. And I see the world as poetry in motion. It’s capturing these poetic moments that drives me to create art that tells a story. And not just any story; but the kind of story that makes you curl your toes with anticipation. A good story.
Each of us deserve to romanticize our lives and celebrate all the special moments, whether big or small. Holding your newborn. Going on a date with your lover. Sharing your passion with the world. Amplifying your main character energy. Because this, right here, is life. It’s happening all the time all around you and I want to slow down with you and preserve some of these moments, so you can savour them time and time again.
Since I first picked up a camera nearly a decade ago, I’ve fallen deeper and deeper in love with the tool that enables me to tell intentional, poetic and meaningful stories. Whether I’m preparing for a maternity shoot, an empowerment portrait session or collaborating with a brand to bring their aesthetic vision to life, I feel grateful every day that I get to do what I love while meeting people like me — the dreamers who never gave up romanticizing life.
I romanticize my life, and if you’ve landed on my website, then I know you do too. My photography is for the dreamers, for the hopeless romantics, for those who wish life was a little bit more like in the movies — and secretly believe it still can be.
